Poor Anastasia T. Dragon, whatever did she do?
Got herself all tangled up, and didn’t have a clue
Met a nice wyvern, whose name was Christian Sway
Ana never knew that things, would ever go this way

Christian had a fetish, seemed he liked to take control
But Ana wanted no part of it, she found it rather droll
So he thought he would teach her, another thing or two
She thought he was crazy, decided to leave, before he knew

Sadly, she didn’t make it, he caught her on the way
“Excuse me, my dear Ana, I think you’d rather stay”
“No thank, my dear Cristian”, she said, so very snarky
“I think you’re full of yourself, more likely, malarkey.”

Christian didn’t like the way Ana spoke to him
Ana didn’t seem to care, which he thought quite grim
She got the best of him, rang him up for sexual harassment
And that’s how it all began, his fifty shades of embarrassment

Fly from me, sweet dragon, seek

Heed the words, I now, must speak

Find the kingdom, cross the land

Bring to me, the guarded strand

Kept close to she, the princess fair

You must catch her, unaware

Cast this spell, of sleep, upon her

O’er the knights, in forest yonder

Who think I am an ignorant fool

But I shall have their precious jewel

Complete this task, I set to thee

Bring back that which belongs to me

The piece that causes much vexation

For I never utter fruitless incantations

The lovely Helene of Willow Poetry has challenged us with “What do you See?”.  You may write a poem, haiku, tanka or short story that represents what you see or feel within you.  More info can be found in the link below.

Hidden deep, underneath, the crystal chandelier

A place so full of wonder, some say you’ll disappear

Into other’s imaginations, and places of unknown

Perhaps you’ll even find yourself, sat upon a throne

Oh, the many places, a book or two, will take you

Inside, secrets held, which perchance, could wake you

Watch the crystal ball, as it spins its magical spell

What happens next, friends, you simply cannot quell

Mystery and power, oh! And dragons, dance in rhyme

Guaranteed, I have no doubt, you’ll have a marvelous time!

So, step inside my parlor, grab a seat there, on the floor

And I’ll tell you about the library, a place you will adore

Child of fire
Change has come
As you lie upon your bed
Embers glow
As wings unfold
And human skin is shed

Alluring in its mystery
The tales of fire’s truth
Intoxicating spirit
It claims a young girl’s youth

Child of fire
Sleep upon
Your bed now made of flame
A fiery heart
The dragon’s call
Whispering your name

Rewrite ~ #poetry #dragon

Inspired by Ritu, of But I Smile Anyway, who is currently in the editing stages of her book!

Mischievous little dragon
Made his way onto the chair

On the desk, the author’s writings
Spread out, without a care

He wondered if she’d notice
If he added a line or two

But dragons don’t know how to write
He pondered, what he should do

Deciding he should try his hand
At a sentence, here or there

With a mighty breath, he blew
Now there’s fire, everywhere!

Whatever shall he tell her
When Mistress sees the mess

“I tried to fix your manuscript
I really must confess!

These scribbles made no sense to me
All I saw were smudges, nothing greater

So I decided to help rewrite the whole thing
I’m sure you’ll thank me for it later!”
