About the Author

Oh, hi there!  So happy you decided to see what I’m all about.

I am a poetess, one who thrives in the darkness, and seeks out the shadows in the light.  I live for nightfall, and occasionally come out in the day.  I do have a softer side, although I tend to not show it often.  I can also be quite whimsical if I choose to be.  I write, because it is my escape from reality, a chance to release the passion I hold in my being.  I’ve also a passion for photography, especially nature, which I share here, on Wednesdays & Sundays (and whatever other day I find it comforting).

If you’re taking the time to read this, I hope you’ll take the time to read my poems.  They will tell you so much more about me than I ever could, in this small section of my blog.

On a personal level, I am a mother, wife, and daughter, in that order.  My children are my greatest accomplishment.

Thank you for stopping by.  I do hope you’ll stay  🙂

You can follow my blog by subscribing via email so you’ll never miss a poem or post. (Just click the Follow My Journey link to your left) 🙂 My poetry reflects life, mostly my life, and I hope you find yourself somewhere in there, too.

  2. Hi Dorinda! I found my way here by way of V.J.’s blog because you too are one of the nominations for the Chronically Hopeful Award. I like what you said: “I am a poetess, one who thrives in the darkness, and seeks out the shadows in the light.” I realized I have been doing this too but have felt so alone in this. Thanks for sharing that. I suffer from Autoimmune Disease and although it’s not the same as Chronic Illness both takes us for quite the ride! Much Love, Deborah

    • Hi Deborah! So nice to meet you. I think we all live a bit of life in the darkness, even if we try not to. I’m glad that my sharing touched home with you. As for the ride, just buckle your seat belt and enjoy it! ❤
