No color in sight
Sunlight turns to gray
Darkness bites
The spectrum fights
Say goodbye to another day
Sky of night
No longer bright
Its lantern gone astray
Til ebon takes flight
And morn wakes with delight
Casting the darkness away

As sunset silently strokes her face
A brush of sea air, her reminder
To return herself to the twilight
Disappearing, as night crawls in

Walk with me, softly through the night
Over pillows of sand, piled high
Like the dunes, on a deserted beach
We’ll leave footprints, trailing behind
Our life’s path, where many will travel
Yet, only those who dare, triumph
Walk with me, softly through the day
Gaze at the snow, floating gently
Creating a wonderland, distinct
In crystalline shapes, delicately placed
By the winds, carelessly blowing
Quietly, through our minds

We have but one
To call our own
No others allow
Our Earthly form
A heavenly body
Of living things
Floating
Around a brilliant star
We circle
As each days passes
For twenty four hours
We move
An endless orbit
Night into day
And day returns
Once again
Until our final hours
Our planet remains
A place we call home
