The breeze had become rather fervent

A chill followed, on wind’s blustery tail

But, I think it’s a bit more disingenuous

When leaving dense fog, behind, in its trail

Whisk me away, upon whispering winds

Remove all the sadness, I am feeling within

Under the guise, of a clear, crystal blue sky

Let my soul, ever cloudy, break free and fly

Mists weave in and out of brush

In the forest, a stillness, a hush

Which lingers in the quietude

As morn begins its soft prelude

And wakens to the faintest breeze

Enveloped round the sleepy trees

A sanctuary, a forgotten place

Where life slows, to a calmer pace

A chance to disappear, unheard

Where nothing is said, not a word

And as the winds whisper in my ear

Light covets darkness, crystal clear

To show the beauty I’ve come to see

And rest mine, weary eyes on thee

Soak in, all those in nature’s attendance

The Glory of God, in subtle resplendence

I watch him row, against fiery light
Just a silhouette, of a man, in a boat
Moving his paddles, left and right
On the calm river waters, he floats

I wonder, has he a care in the world
Or is he trying to escape, from the past
The fronds about him blow, unfurled
Still, he remains this silent outcast

Each night, it’s the very same thing
He rows by, while the sun starts to set
Sometimes, I think I hear him sing
But most likely, it’s the wind’s quartet

Rustling through the broken air
Creating just enough sound to be heard
Unlike the man in the boat, unaware
My curiosity of him, he has stirred

Let go your heart, set sail, across the mighty seas

Journey on, allow yourself to put your mind at ease

The wind has a power, like a child, it wants to play

Feel the freedom, in your soul, as it carries you away
