Make a wish upon a star
See the moon glow bright
Little one who watches
Out the window of the night

Whisk your dreams away
On the gentle evening breeze
Skyward clouds paint the skies
And mingle with the trees

Quietly she sits in thought
Dear sweet child of ebony light
Watches out the window
Enchanted by heavenly delight

She hides in the shadows
Blending in with the night
A young maiden in waiting
For her evening delight

She plans for her feast
At the edge of the wood
This pretty little lady
Is surely up to no good

She appears to be human
A facade quite believing
One trick of her trade
And her looks are deceiving

She thirsts for the blood
Of any human form
Then, once she is sated
She disappears, in a storm

She’s kept her mates waiting
For their dinner, you see
Tis not one that she feasts for
More hunger, like she

In swirls of mist, the echoes speak
Take heed to what you hear
For once the sunlight starts to peek
This all will, soon, disappear

Shrouded by gray, in the foggy morn
A spectral being, arrives, forlorn

His castle, now in ruins, lay
As he recalls that fateful day

When men stood brave, atop the wall
Then mightily, one by one, did fall

Soldiers, rigid, took the chance
Heroic men, who bowed to thee
Imprisoned, by your ignorant stance
A realm of misfortune, you did not foresee

Now, this being, in limbo’s cell
Fears, for there is no return
Caught in eternal living hell
His freedom is what he yearns

In a cavern, far below the earth
Darkness could easily be found
Violet stones show their worth
Underneath the frozen ground

Shards, the likes of icy gems
Glisten, when they catch the light
But beauty hides the worst of them
They disappear, nowhere in sight

You cannot see the danger, when
You walk across the tundra
The cavern opens up its jaws, then
It carries you, down under

There’s no escape, from the well below
You’ve reached your eternal slumber
And they’ll go back to their violet glow
But your mind, will be torn asunder

I watch as summer fades to past, and autumn shows her face, and yet, as autumn colors Earth, winter comes so fast. No more warmth, nor sunny days, snow white mountains fill the sky; gold and red do fade away, and all I can do is sigh. Too quickly do the seasons change, one by one, they disappear; and feelings that are ever strange, within me, quite austere. But I will stand atop this rock, hear the winds call my name; open my mind, breathe in, take stock, let the mountains, my soul, reclaim
