Rubbed against pages
In our minds, caught
In a void of noise, reaching
Out of bounds, trying
To find the release
Of electrifying verse

She was both prim and quite improper
A beauty of questionable taste
Scooped up the gents, like a hopper
Did so, with incredible haste
She didn’t care what they thought of her
Glitz and glam, was all she needed
Still, they would always misconstrue
Didn’t matter, how much she pleaded
Left to her wiles, she found pleasure
In letting them have their free will
Merrily rejoicing, for winning the prize
Until she handed them the bill

Behind the mask, lies an elegant face
Bedeviled by those, they, who will debase
She hides who she is, to keep them at bay
Wondering how she ever got this way
They tease, as if they’ll win the catch
She knows better, no chance to scratch
The surface, of which she hides, deep below
Never letting them in, nor letting them go
Beneath her, she glows, a glittering shine
Laughs, as they falter, these ignorant swine
For there was just he, who kept her in throes
A scoundrel, she would never dare oppose
The scars that have her, they hide her shame
For only she knows, she’s the one, to blame
