It’s only been a week
But it seems like forever
Been away far too long,
From the life I endeavor.

Words come out, a jumble,
Making no logical sense.
Mind blowing explosions,
Much too much intense.

How do I figure out
Each thought in my mind?
How do I solve this conundrum,
Of life, sometimes, unkind?

Am I but an enigma?
Please tell me so I know
Such poetry, in motion,
I rather, would not show

But it’s been awhile,
Since I scribbled out a page
I’ll leave you with untethered thoughts,
I’ve released them, from their cage.

Silly though it seems,
I let them fly in all directions
It doesn’t matter if they falter
‘Cause to me, they’re pure perfection

The Sound of your Voice, a hypnotic Potion
Whispering to my Heart, freeing Emotion

Words of love, longing, desire
Words unspoken, your touch, my fire

Summoning my soul, passion enraptured
Beguiling, enchanting, my thoughts of you, captured

Words of love, craving, yearning
Words unspoken, your touch, my burning

Melded together, our love undenied
Caressing your face, a kiss, a sigh

Your words of love, resplendent, poetic
Our words unspoken, two hearts, prophetic

Many words

Bound, silent pages

Emotions

Rising up

Unable to keep quiet

They speak in volumes

Simple Logic ~ #poetry #FOWC #RDP

There is always such silliness over semantics

In linguistics, I’m grateful I am still quite naïve

When it comes to logic, some words are too gigantic

For me to even understand, let alone perceive

I tried to read the words
but the water washed them away

Every bit of ink a blur
every letter no different than another

Ripples, and waves of
some other place and time, unknown

I watched them fade into oblivion
taken out with the tide

Perhaps they would return again
perhaps they would not

And how was I to know
without remembering what was

I pondered a bit longer
then finally, I lifted up my glass

Like magic, they reappeared
whole, as if they’d never gone

And yet, the bottom of my glass
knew better, it new the truth

That the words would
someday, fade away, and I with them
