Dripping, soggy, and wet, from nature’s sneeze

Leaves, soaked in dew, a brisk morning breeze.

Glistening light, from soft rays of the sun

Another day of beauty, has nearly begun

Sun rises ever quickly, against a muted sky

Brings about warmth, and with her, I sigh

Each morning, when I awaken, with eyes wide

I thank the Lord, for another day, diversified.

Inhale scented blooms

For they will dispel sadness

When mixed with the breeze

It’s so easy to be dazzled, by the blowing breeze

Though it may seem rather tenuous, sometimes

As it flows through the air, flies aloft, in the trees

Let your senses pursue, what is sweetly sublime

Colleen is back and it’s a New Year, and a new month and that means…Poet’s Choice!! My words this week are Fragile and Breeze.  Remember, you can only use synonyms to write your poetry!

Written as a Shadorma, my synonyms are Delicate and Wind.

Delicate
With colorful wings
Fluttering
Against wind
Swept away with the current
Returning in spring

Imagine we are lost at sea
With only ripples of water beside us
Aboard this tiny boat, with me
Just enough of a breeze to guide us

There’s no one around, for miles, and miles
Only wide open space, decked out in blue
Perhaps we just bask, in the sun, awhile
Yes, that’s exactly what I think we should do

Then let the sails take us, far, far away
And forget about life on the shores
It’s just us, and the wind, for today
I’m sure I’ve had this dream before
