Beauty Dwells

Beneath the Whispering

Of Willows Weeping

Guarded

By the Mighty Sword

Embraced by Excalibur

Magical Waters behold

Pure Mystical Powers

A Winsomeness Alluring

She Emerges from the Depths

Lavender shores paint the scene

Of a land sedate, and so serene

Where verdant grass and trees align

And form a vision, heavenly, divine

I have journeyed here, this very day

I think, perhaps, it’s where, I’ll stay

To watch the waters ripple gently

And listen to silence, quite intently

Let my mind wander, like the clouds

Far, far away from the noisy crowds

Yes, here is where I’ll find my solace

In this place, tranquil and flawless

Everywhere she turned
There were bow ties in the air
Flying about the kitchen
Out the door and up the stairs

She didn’t have a clue how
They jumped from out the pot
Trying to catch them in her hand
No good, they were too hot

Slipping and sliding on the floor
She had to find an easier way
To get them back in the water
And stop this aerial display

It was macaroni madness
The likes she’d never seen
And such a mess, who knew
Macaroni could be so mean

Finally, deciding to give up
Drenched in Alfredo cream
Grateful, when she realized
It was all just a terrible dream

**I don’t know about you, but Fettuccine Alfredo sounds good to me   😉

I’ve traveled here,
to sit, ponder
Basking in the glory
of nature
Feeling the warmth
of the sun
Soaking in the sounds
of water falling

(The rush of silence is awakening)

Freeing me, to find
my inner peace
These things,
I have somehow
Taken for granted,
Thinking they,
would always
be here for me

(Bestowed upon us from Heaven above)

And while the leaves
of the trees, provide
with their shade,
I shall always
turn my face
toward the light

(In thankful prayer for His many blessings)

A Brilliant Light Shined – #poetry – #JanuaryWriting

A brilliant explosion, of light ‘cross the lake

Made the waters ripple, the ground, shake

Made colors shine, white, orange and green

An ethereal spark, like you never have seen

But what caused this light, to covet the land?

Surely, this wasn’t done, by one human hand

Perhaps, it is magical, a release, into stars

That cling to the night, in the sky’s reservoir

Then fall to the earth, with a dazzling flame

Such a radiance, only the heavens, could claim
