Lavender shores paint the scene
Of a land sedate, and so serene
Where verdant grass and trees align
And form a vision, heavenly, divine
I have journeyed here, this very day
I think, perhaps, it’s where, I’ll stay
To watch the waters ripple gently
And listen to silence, quite intently
Let my mind wander, like the clouds
Far, far away from the noisy crowds
Yes, here is where I’ll find my solace
In this place, tranquil and flawless

This poem has such a calming effect, like lavender has, too.

This thought came to my mind after I was done with reading. Awesome, how this worked out intuitively!

Hey, what inspires you to #writefromphotos opposed to writing without? Would you say you are more of a visual-minded person? Just curious is all. . ..
Fascinating post, by the way, the way you almost emancipate yourself from the outside world by being secluded inside this personal vacuum inside space and time is interesting.
My retreat from life would be into my own mind, where parallel universes and different dimensions tempt my logic into following the laws of life towards unknown territory

I am a visual poet, and having a photo accompany my work adds to the overall effect. I write many without photos, then spends hours finding the right one.

Interesting, I always have a picture for the thumbnail any of my posts, but never really give them much thought, outside of one where I used photoshop to craft a certain image. Thank you so much for responding, I look forward to seeing more of your work. . .
Also, you seem to have a couple of books made, I’m looking into making a book potentially called “Pieces of Myself,” a collection of poems, some that I’ve posted on my blog and others that I only have hard copies of.
Is there any advice you could give me Mrs. Duclos while I pursue this new project?

Do your research! There are several publishing companies out there, each with something a little different to offer. Figure out what you need, then go for it! Good luck! 🙂

Will do then, I believe I may go with the self-publishing route since I have the skills to create all of the formatting needed for a book; at least before putting text on it. Thanks for the heads up though, I’ll look into the traditional methods as well just in case and have a nice night
