And I close my eyes and listen

To the gentle echoing sounds

Of rain splashing upon my thoughts

Amidst God’s almighty thunder

Restless, like a wandering sprite

On a journey once found in a dream

Searching for an endless mysterious sight

Cast through the sky like a stream

Of magical orbs that shine in my eyes

Perhaps they’re the answers I seek

Or are they merely a quixotic guise

The power behind the mystique

Ever looking for resplendent glory

While wrestling with the ebony night

Hoping to find an end to this story

I awaken with morning’s first light

Whisper softly
In muted tones
Unheard choirs
Of nature’s pure bliss
Held quietly
In the morning light
As dawn reaches
Into shades of white

Whisper softly
In darkness unknown
Unheard choirs
Left to reminisce
Held quietly
As dreams take flight
And dawn reaches
Into shades of night

Body ravaged by an unknown being
Time escapes, an unsettled fleeing

Torn and tattered in bits and pieces
No longer feeling simple releases

Fighting the fury kept deep inside
Seeking the comfort that’s long been denied

Hidden apart from an every day dream
Visions aren’t always what they seem

Clustered around with anger and strife
Wondering why this has taken my life

So many dreams have been swept away
Agony brings yet another day

Of fighting a battle with ghosts deep inside
Seeking the comfort that’s long been denied
