In a dream, she sails

To faraway places

Hoping, at last

To find out what space is

A bag fully packed

She reaches for the sky

Balloons, shaped like planets

Will help her to fly

A billion stars fill the night

Oh! How they shine!

A little girl and her dreams

How I wish they were mine…

But to take a step, to dream

To rise above, to the extreme

To far off lands, and unknown worlds

Where imagination becomes unfurled

A single page, an open book

You need do nothing more than look

Then read the words, escape the norm

Lose yourself, inside the storm

Of fantasies, through pages turned

To find the life, you’ve always yearned

#FridayFantasy ~ Only You Know – #poetry of the #moon

A light from above, ethereal, beams
Illuminating thoughts, sacred dreams
Where reality is no longer as it seems
The illusion becomes too real

I look up to the moon, see her smile
Wondering if she’ll let me stay awhile
Ah, but too far, so many miles
Still my heart, she sweetly heals

An open window, and I shiver
This luminous orb, makes me quiver
While fantasies, she does deliver
Keeping me on an even keel

Alas, my eyelids begin to close
This is her magic, I suppose
Sweet Luna, you’re the one I chose
Only you know how I feel…

I’ve Aged – #poetry

Lines, once hidden,
Have grown bolder now;
No way to hide them,
Can’t disavow.

Months of worry,
This illness claimed;
To live with this,
A horrid change.

Takes courage to fight,
The strange, unknown;
A weakness,
I must not condone.

Make time to rebuild,
No reason to preclude;
Dreams, tucked away,
Need be, pursued.

Not sure where I’ll land,
Nor at what stage;
But this much I know,
I have surely aged.

Written as a Senryu, my synonyms are Angelic and Hideous.

Hideous faces

In the darkness of the night

Taint angelic dreams
