Remember the magic, once held in your hand
Cast out to the waters, like fine grains of sand
Washed away in the mist, headed out to the sea
Mystical feelings that aren’t meant to be

Left on the rocks, all alone, with the wind
That caresses your hair, swirls, then rescinds
Like the love you once felt, deep in your heart
That spell has been broken, and it tears you apart

Leaving you to search for the answers, anew
Praying toward the light, in the sky, above you
Seeking, and yet, there is nothing to find
You wonder why life, must be so unkind

Still, you remain, under a spell, which you cast
Forgetting the others, from your quite human past
In agony, you struggle, as part woman, part fish
To remember the magic, tis your one final wish

Your love is like the ocean

An endless sea of soft waves

Flowing over me, caressing

Cooling the fire that burns

Inside of me, I hear the roar

Like the tide, it crashes down

Then, recedes, into the deep

Let me drink of you, taste

The saltiness of your skin

The ebb and flow of desire

It knows no depth, my love

Only that we became one

Two souls united, our tiny grains

Blended, with the sands, sublime

They loved to call her Shadow
Blending in, with foreign sands
Dressed in black, she is darkness
Sharpened sword, held in her hand

She fights the voices, defiantly
They speak evil, to her mind
Wicked thoughts, aplenty
Still, she seeks, until she finds

Wisps of dust, twirling round her
In this place, behind the moon
She watches them create this world
Made up of endless dunes

Trapped inside the sands of time
Caught, in a lasting drought
Shadow returns to her darkness
In the valley of her doubt

Time, an hourglass

The sand, slipping through quickly

Knowing its limit

There’s no other feeling like it

In fact, it really is so grand

It’s what I dream of often

Bare toes in the cooling sand

How I love to bury my feet

Knowing the tides and sand combined

Awash with the waves, onto the shore

Leaving traces of goodness behind

I keep these thoughts ever with me

Through the winter, the bitter cold

Knowing I can return once again

To sink my feet into miles of gold
