A home built high
Upon a tree
Once held the young
Now sits, empty

They’ve flown away
A world to see
Oh how I wish
They, were me

I’d fly above
This world, unrest
A silent tear
Shed on my quest

Then cry aloud
At my own behest
Won’t someone join me
In this nest?

Where we can heed
From one, above
The somber coo
Of a mourning dove

Who fears humanity
All hate, thereof
She prays that Earth
Will find her love

Where once a man
Was born, so free
Taking pride in all
This majesty

Let’s fly away
Perhaps we’ll see
Just how beautiful
This world could be

Robots are made from patterns, though each has its own allure

Humans find them fascinating, they are quite quizzical to see

It’s a virtual world we live in, becoming more esoteric, obscure

When machines, at last, take over, and we no longer exist to be

It will do us no good, if we wait too long

To show faith in our world, we know how

No need to be obstinate, nor headstrong

Participate, make changes, and do it now!

At times, I see my life, caught, in a labyrinthine knot

In an instant, my thoughts are twisted, tightly furled

I should be filled with scorn, but happily, I am not

I’m content, just to live, in my own little world

I truly admire they, whose unique tastes, know no boundaries

Though eclectic styles of many, can sometimes cause a battle

That’s when others second guess us, creating many quandaries

We just smile, show them the door, go on, we say, skedaddle
