The full moon, a mere speck in the sky
A wolf, this powerful creature, was I
Transformed, I found my perfect place
No longer human, I have a new face
Whitened, my hair, like the snow, was my fur
Now a she wolf, I was no longer her
This was my destiny, ne’er to stray
Knowing I’d forever, stay this way

He left before the morning light
His scent, lingered, in the air
She wrapped herself around it
To ease the chill, her body, bare
Private thoughts invaded
Her mind was set on fire
He was all she wanted near
He was her one desire
Yet, sitting alone, she pondered
Was her love for him misled?
Perhaps, she would just have to settle
For memories of him, in her bed

Her eyes glazed over in tears
I wanted to comfort her through it
But I couldn’t get rid of the fears
She’d battled so many demons
They kept at her, time and again
Hopelessly, she had given up
There was no way she could win
She glanced at me in the mirror
I looked away, I couldn’t take it
Why did this always happen to me?
Is there a chance I’ll never make it?
I’ve wiped away tears, forgotten the fears
Though it happens, on and off, through the years
Dry are my eyes, I’ve stifled the cries
But never shall I be able to sympathize
