Waiting to be heard
My thoughts come together
In the wake of a word
Visions, set apart,
From reality, seem
Ghostly, compared
To my last vivid dream
Still I continue
To weave when I write
Those thoughts that awaken
Within me, at night

Lines that I scribble
Fall slowly, my mind
Starting to dribble
A trickle of ink
A blotch full of letters
That turn into words
Somehow much better
Than leaving the paper
Barren and white
This is my legacy
At the end of the night

A spirit held within a book
She wished upon a dream
Scattering dandelion seeds
Like a pixie, she did scheme
Page by page, twas magic
She made them dance in rhyme
From fantasy to tragic
Every word was quite sublime
So, when the pages filled
And no more could be contained
Another flower did she pick
To spread the seeds, again
