Along this forest path I roam
The spirits gather, unbounded
Through the mist, creeping
Their spindled arms reaching
Nowhere can I run, surrounded

Clutching at me with their thorns
Denying my passage of right
Desolate, lonely, forlorn
They cry in the silence of night

Yet as darkness grows dimmer
And morn starts to shimmer
The illusion fades in the light

rainy sun
The night sky
A blaze of orange
Like a fireball

Exploding into brilliance
Igniting the dusk
In radiant splendor

As raindrops fell
Even cloudy tears
Could not extinguish its flame

Crackling, Electric

You flame the blackness

Shimmering, Aglow

Streaking

Without direction

Across the heavens

Awakening the night

From a darkened slumber

Friday Fantasy ~ Elfin Promises

I’ll light the way
Come follow me
Through the forest
Lush and green
I’ll show you beauty
I promise you
The likes you’ve never seen

An Elfin passage
Into the night
I’ll guide you
On your way
While Fairies glow
With pure delight
As we lead you quite astray

Tender Is

Tender is the morn

That softly caresses
A blade of grass
With early dew

Tender is the wind

That subtle breeze
Awhirl in the air
Sending thoughts
Of you

Tender is the rain

That trickles down
Purging the anguish
Of the past

Tender is the night

That stars enrapture
Twinkling promise
You’ll return to me
At last
