Oh how I wish this wind would stop!

Leaves flying about, high in the air

My balloons, try to take me, please don’t pop!

I could wind up anywhere!

Streaks from the sky, a sunbeam escapes

It’s so annoying, the constant glare

I keep moving, back and forth I traipse

But the sun doesn’t really care

I guess I’ll have to hold on tight

Let the winds take me where they will

Drink in the sun until it is night

Then I’ll complain about the chill

Be careful how you touch them

How they look is quite deceiving

Nature has the strangest ways

To leave your senses grieving

That something, oh so beautiful

Can hurt you, with a single stroke

Stay away from the stinging nettles

For it’s pain, they shall evoke

She stands among the fallen leaves

Her gypsy soul envelops them

Awaiting the moment, where

She can become one with them

Deep in thought, her dreams, surpassed

She clings to them, for comfort

Knowing soon, as the seasons change

The trees will surely welcome them

Blazing Spark ~ #poetry of the #seasons

Autumns leaves, turned to brown

And with them, all the colors drown

Replaced by flakes of purest white

On barren limbs, a weary sight

Winter snow covers what is left

But here I wonder, quite bereft

Why autumn lost her blazing spark

Naked, cold, she embraces dark
