Let your imagination run wild

Romp in a glistening tide, feel

The cool waters splash, as you

Run along the shores, under

The shining sun, feeling the

Warmth caressing your face.

Til at last, in the setting of the light,

When night sweetly kisses

The day goodbye

You can continue to dream………

She held no secrets

Like empty pages

Yet to be penned

Her script knew nothing

Of the role she played

In a time forgotten, shielded

From the words that fell

Unspoken in the drama of life

It is in the quiet hush of the rain,

when water falls in a cascade of tears,

that we no longer feel the need to cry,

for the clouds have done it for us.

It’s that time again, that time after midnight,

and before dawn, when the only thing you hear

is the loud silence that surrounds, taking up space

in the darkness of night, casting shadows against

a black wall. You blink and still the dark exists,

blink again, but it doesn’t disappear. Search

for the light that left with the day, as you drift,

in and out of what is real or what you have

imagined. Will you ever find it again? Are you

even looking for it? Do you know what it is or

have you lost your way, between the disquiet,

of midnight and morn…
