I truly admire they, whose unique tastes, know no boundaries

Though eclectic styles of many, can sometimes cause a battle

That’s when others second guess us, creating many quandaries

We just smile, show them the door, go on, we say, skedaddle

It is an integral part of us, as true human beings

To make an effort, so we make the world right

Yet we continue to blame, ignoring, not seeing

Anything that needs attention, instead, we fight

Let me melt away the pain

That lingers on my skin

Let me release the sorrow

I hold, so deeply, within

Inches of this body writhes

As I try to hold it all together

But fate has dealt a mighty blow

And this life, I have to weather

Agony has set its pace, still

I continue, with all my might

To chase away the darkness

Choosing only to see the light

He sleeps through the night

Rages of a storm, his dreams

Scattering, in the wind

Drenching, as rain pours

Against the windows

This is his life, his imagination

*

He sleeps through the fight

Emotionless, visions extreme

Thunderous, a time he sinned

Soaking through, to his core

Now left alone, like a widow

This is his life, his damnation
