I am as black as a raven

Against the brightest moon

I venture, seeking solace

Taken from me, too soon

Ebony night, speak to me

Let peace and tranquility abound

Shadows enveloping, sheathing

Their spirits dance, profound

A settling calm, stormless

Sends me deeper into the vast

I am no longer searching

The darkness has claimed me

At last

Walk with me, softly through the night

Over pillows of sand, piled high

Like the dunes, on a deserted beach

We’ll leave footprints, trailing behind

Our life’s path, where many will travel

Yet, only those who dare, triumph

Walk with me, softly through the day

Gaze at the snow, floating gently

Creating a wonderland, distinct

In crystalline shapes, delicately placed

By the winds, carelessly blowing

Quietly, through our minds

Imagine what life would be like

Soaring topless, into the sky

Nothing but my trusty camera

Teleporting me, upwards, oh my!

Scanning the clouds for faces

Catching their wink, as they pass by

Stretching out into wide open spaces

Just my arms and me, what a high!

There’s only one thing, and I worry

What happens if someone should spy?

As I land on the top of the mountain

My wings spread, like a butterfly

Perhaps I should have kept my shirt on

I wasn’t thinking when I took to the sky

So I’m here, in all of my glory

Of this, I can never deny

Choose a flavor, go on, no need to be fickle

Still can’t decide? Then try sweet, Butter Brickle

Tiny pieces of toffee, mixed with luscious ice cream

Your taste buds will love you, your mouth will scream!

Don’t wait for the summer, run right out to the store

Find the candy filled carton, before there isn’t anymore
