Plump and provocative, feathers in their hair

These ladies showed their curves, anytime, anywhere

Didn’t care what others thought, or what they had to say

They enjoyed the attention, on any given day

Liked to show off for the gents, who waited by the door

Pleased them all, but seemed, they always wanted more

Not to worry, dear boys, there was plenty to go around

These ladies were quite worth it…

Ounce for ounce, and pound for pound

The beaches, now empty

Another summer is gone

Tis the changing of seasons

As this sight, I came upon

Watching the sun shine

On this lonely, cool morn

With the ocean, ever lingering

While this new day is born

No footprints in the sand

Just the glow, of the skies

As I stare, at the beauty

Of a September sunrise

Hollywood called her Marilyn Monroe
Though her name was Norma Jeane

But that would never befit a star
This siren, of the silver screen

Sensuality made her famous
They would melt, with just a wink

Abused by those around her
Found her on the edge, the brink

Pills would ease the torture
That went on inside her head

Until the day they found her
A body, lifeless, across the bed

Her light had now been dimmed
After years of sheer neglect

But Marilyn would, forever, remain
A shining star, with a touch of perfect

Spirit move, through mountain mist

Embrace the morning’s secret kiss

Watch, as grass and earth appear

Knowing, soon, the sun grows near

Tis your time to, again, return

Where hidden, deep, beyond the berm

Is the mystical place, in which you dwell

Alas, you’ll cast your worldly spell

Which calls to the mist, come and play

And it whisks away the light of day

Tis then you emerge, atop your domain

For this is your life, on this earthly plane

Join Sue, every Thursday, as she delights us with a new photo (or two)!  Thanks again, for another beautiful photo prompt!

Let me lead you on a wild escape

Watch the circles turn, and whorl

A wormhole, if you will, my friend

I’ll let the magic fly, unfurl

Where once you stood here with me

Now find yourself far gone

I dare not follow you, oh no

I’ll not take the chance upon

The powerful swirls of light

That reflect in every direction

Chances are, you’re lost for good

So sorry, twas my misdirection

Goodbye, dear one, I’ll see you

Perchance, in another place

Till then, do watch the circles turn

Then disappear, without a trace

August Writing Prompt – Wizards and Wormholes – Day 31/31 – This officially marks one full year of Michelle’s writing prompts. She has challenged me every step of the way and for that, I am forever grateful. Thank you, ~M! Love you, my friend  ❤
