I want to
Disappear
Blend in
With the drops of rain
Landing
Upon a flower’s petal
Slowly
Making my way
Down the stem,
Into the ground
Traveling
Under the earth
Finding
My way
Into the river
Flowing
Into the ocean
Disappearing
In the waves

For DB…. He’ll always be watching over you  ❤

Days go by, more slowly now
Since you left me, here, to stay

God took you to a better place
I understand that more, each day

The sands, on which I find myself
Quietly sitting, reflecting life

Are cold and damp, without you
As my soul is filled with strife

The surf that endlessly beats
Though we two, are now apart

Reminds me of how much we loved
You’re forever in my heart

Still, I can find some comfort
In the storms, when I’m feeling low

For I know you’re watching over me
Each and every time I see a rainbow

Your love is like the ocean

An endless sea of soft waves

Flowing over me, caressing

Cooling the fire that burns

Inside of me, I hear the roar

Like the tide, it crashes down

Then, recedes, into the deep

Let me drink of you, taste

The saltiness of your skin

The ebb and flow of desire

It knows no depth, my love

Only that we became one

Two souls united, our tiny grains

Blended, with the sands, sublime

Waves churned and water crashed

A rowboat, on the ocean, thrashed

Skies were calmer, to the east

But to the west, there hailed a beast

Clouds of black had filled the sky

No chance for those aboard to try

To make it to land, safely ashore

Seems the boat, could take no more

Winds attacked, from every angle

In the storm, the timbers mangled

Caught, upon the choppy seas

The ocean tossed it, as it pleased

All that remained, was a beacon of light

That shined, ever brightly, into the night

It was quite unexpected, made her unsteady

Weak in the knees, though she knew, she was ready

The icy cold water, was nothing to fear

The wave took her under, freedom was near

She didn’t fight it, it was what she awaited

Back to the sea, where her life was created

No longer wishing to be human, unkind

She knew now, to never leave the ocean behind
