I am old
This was something I was told
Imagine he could be so bold

One morning while sanding my deck
(Which by the way is a pain in the neck)
I fell down in a hole
Met a cute little troll
Now I live there, too, what the heck
Inspired by a true event (sans the troll).

Under a bridge, in the forest deep
Lives a creature, in his earthen keep
When sun shines bright upon the day
It’s a promise that he’ll stay away
For if he looks, it has been known
He will surely turn to stone
But when moonlight shows about this place
That is when you’ll see his face
A mythical creature, you cannot cajole
For he is the forest’s menacing troll
