This is might be a good one after we all stuffed ourselves yesterday.  LOL

Don’t know what he expected

Digging in to all that junk food

His stomach raged a war with him

It was in an extremely bad mood

Burgers and dogs, fries, and corn

Into his mouth, he kept stuffing

Barely able to catch his breath

Found himself huffing, and puffing

Next came the soda, bubbles galore

Down the hatch, in one mighty swig

Not sure how much more could fit

His stomach was growing quite big

Then, there it was, a horrendous sound

Could’ve frightened the neighbors away

A gurgling, like no one has ever heard

Someone asked him if he was okay

But, it happened again, this time he blew

Such flatulence, would likely power a jet

We couldn’t help but laugh at the poor guy

But admit it, you would laugh, too, I bet

Could this day be any worse for those

Who awaken in morning, preferring to doze

Only to find out, it’s Monday indeed

The weekend is over, this we concede

But wait, it gets worse, how can that be

Surely this Monday, is pure treachery

Disguised as a start, of things yet to come

We always believe, boy are we feeling dumb

So, on this day, when we all convene

We’ll fill up on baked goods, and tons of caffeine

Show him who’s boss, and should he rebuff

We’ll fire this Monday, enough is enough

No matter where I turn
I can’t escape the flow
Even on my monitor
The screen begins to snow

Across the words I try to read
It flurries in my way
How the heck did snow get in
My LCD display?

Someone mentioned WordPress elves
Playing frosty games
To make the posts more festive
On everyone’s domain

Or maybe someone shook it
Like a snow globe full of glitter
At least it’s not so wintry
Not even cold or bitter

Ok I give, the snow can stay
No worries about frost bite
I will read between the flakes
As they journey on their flight

Procrastination

I’m often heard saying
I’ll do it later
But later never happens
Funny how the time flies by when
On the couch I’m napping

No worries about what lies ahead
No worries about making the bed
No worries about the time of day
No worries about what others say

I’ve got this covered
It’s easy, you see
No need for education
I already have my Master’s Degree
I’m a Pro at Crastination
