I’m excited to announce that the third book in the “A Flight of Imagination” poetry trilogy, “Spirit of Fantasy” has been released and is now available in paperback and Kindle editions!!

Enchant your heart with the mystical beings of the forest, while you dance with magical fairies and unicorns, fly with the spirits in the mists and open your imagination to the wonders of fantasy. Let Dorinda’s poetry inspire you to dream about far off places, let it carry you away!!

It takes only a moment, to be kind

When human hearts, seek to find

The warmth of a smile, a cheerful face

Love and happiness, without a trace

Of hopelessness or mere despair

We, as one, must show we care

By lending hands to those who need

And stopping those who intercede

As brothers and sisters, together we stand

And Peace must reign o’er the lands

My spirit soars in the whispering breeze

And calms my soul, among forest and trees

The rustle of leaves as they try to take flight

Reaching up to the sky full of heavenly light

Surrounds me with comfort, one with the air

Awaiting the moment, feeling you there

Capturing my heart, once again, as you go

The wind, and my feelings, the ebb and the flow

The sky roars, clouds bellow their call

Looking up, I can watch the raindrops fall

Splashing my face and blurring my eyes

Is this how it feels to be one with the skies?

Letting the water caress my skin

Drinking in all of the power within

One single drop, as it touches my soul

Lifting my body, taking control

Forever to fly through life’s little storms

Finding my peace, in the rain, I transform

Eyes awaken in an ebony night

Shadowy movements dodging the light

Wondering what it is he sees here

Could it be her, the one he held near?

Darkness continues, playing its game

The silence whispering out his name

Brushing by him, in teasing allure

Wondering how much he can endure

She playfully invades his carnal dreams

Til sunlight through the window streams
