In our favorite place
Me and you
Take up very little space
Nestled together
Holding hands
Ignoring the others
Those who withstand
The happiness we feel
In our own little world
Year after year
Where love is unfurled

There wasn’t enough pepper in Hank
To open the jar, so he yanked
But the pickles remained
Never again to be strained

We have but one
To call our own
No others allow
Our Earthly form
A heavenly body
Of living things
Floating
Around a brilliant star
We circle
As each days passes
For twenty four hours
We move
An endless orbit
Night into day
And day returns
Once again
Until our final hours
Our planet remains
A place we call home
