Broken Vow, hurt, lost love, mourning, Night Owl Poetry, poems, poetry

Washed away with the tide
Memories of him still abide
On the shores of yesterday

Like a statue she stands
As the currents expand
Waiting to take her away

A castle in the distance
Reaches out with insistence
She waits by the side of the shore

Filled with a sadness
She slips into madness
Vowing to love never more

Dressed in black, she does mourn
From her soul, she is torn
All that she hoped for, destroyed

Jagged rocks rake her feet
As she sighs in defeat
Her heart now a cold, lifeless void

Heavenly Weather

Raindrops fell across the land
Cleansing the earth below
And with the sweep of God’s mighty hand
The whispering winds do blow

Letting the trees and the grass
Create a rhythmic dance
As they bend and sway together
Sleepy flowers unfurl
With the currents awhirl
Soaking, in Heavenly weather

Midnight
Darkest hour
No light

Day gone
Fades into black
Moves on

Moon shows
Chases the gloom
And glows

A beacon guides the path

As tiny feet make their way

Down the darkened hallway

Seeking comfort in the night

She remembered so vividly

The calling of the wind

As it swept through her hair

With the whisper of a howl

Swirling about in rose scented air

Gathering thoughts in the breeze

Sharing secrets with her soul
