Enchantment waits in ebon flight
A raptor takes his place
Guided by the maiden’s light
In this mysterious place

Upon her shoulder he does rest
To wait the next command
A silent chant from ruby lips
Awakens where she stands

Fairy lights from her lantern glow
Fueled by the maiden’s plight
They must find the one she loves
In the darkness of the night

Yet, Enchantment waits in ebon flight
With a destiny to foretell
“I am the one you are waiting for,
This owl, now rapt in your spell.
I’ve traveled back from whence I came,
To light your lantern once again”

Soft as velvet, blackened night
Luminous orb through shadows bright
Full in wonder, shining bright
Mesmerize us with celestial light

Illuminate the darkened sky
As the clouds go slowly drifting by
Enticing us from way up high
You captivate and mystify

Seducing us with golden splendor
To you, alas, we must surrender
Luna, Goddess of the Moon
With you, we are at last, attune

This was Sunday night’s full moon, taken from my front porch. The clouds almost look like the face of an alien/skeleton, but I chose to romanticize it 🙂

Mysterious eyes of icy blue

Hide the lies that once were true

Shrouded behind her feathered masque

Afraid that she’ll be brought to task

For what she did so long ago

No, what she did, they cannot know

Nor who she was before that day

When the fire left her, went away

And turned her heart as cold as rime

Sealing memories, lost in time

Frozen, she can no longer feel

A hardened heart, she must conceal

Unleash your inner fantasy

Unlock the hidden door

Open up imagination

Find what you look for

Mysterious illusions

Play a game of hide and seek

Only you know what to look for

A risk not for the meek

Fear can conquer with a breath

If you let it come inside

Chase away the evil thoughts

No longer will they hide

Or dwell within the confines

Of your imaginary haze

Fantasy unlocks the doors

In a magical, mystical daze

Let me arouse your imagination
Fill your dreams with wondrous creation
Quixotic feelings, powerful, unleashed
Secretive cravings, hungry, released

Igniting the passion flowing through
Fascinating thoughts begin to brew
Spirits lifting your very being
Waiting, watching, ever seeing

To guide you through the mystical dark
Lightened with its mysterious spark
Close your eyes now, sleep
Fantasy awakening, slumber deep
