My heart bleeds crimson

Stabbed by the thorn of a rose

Lost without your love

Friday Fantasy ~ Sunken Within Me

Floating in my dreams
A simple flower reminds me
Not all is as it seems
The past drifts far behind me

The days of love diminish
As the tides roll slowly by
Sorrow is my finish
When alas the flower dies

Sunken deep within me
In the treasure of my heart
The key that can begin me
Held closest though apart

Friday Fantasy ~ Wistful

Elvin magic flies about

Wistful thoughts crying out

Tearing at her soul, exposed

Longing to forget these woes

Of lovers lost

And left behind

Of broken hearts

For which she pined

Nights where bodies

Intertwined

Locked forever

In her mind

Love Letters from a Stranger

Words written
From an intruder who
Invades my privacy

Drains my being

Who doesn’t abide

Beyond the black and white
Of smudged ink
From hapless tears
Words unmeaning

A mere disregard

A forgery of feelings

Penned into my heart

She read the words
Unaware
Of what they said

She looked for an answer
Unaware
Of the question

She turned away
Unaware
He was there
