She found herself

In this unearthly place

Felt his presence

Chill her face

Watched the mist

Against the ground

Rise, then fall

Without a sound

Could this be illusion?

A trick, not a treat

He’s slowly surrounding

Himself, at her feet

Feeling the tug

She realizes fast

As he pulls her under

With a sinister grasp

There’s magic in the forests, here

When fairies let their lights appear

Floating about, like an endless dream

They mesmerize, with a blazing gleam

When fire surrounds you, in a dance

You wonder if it’s happenstance

They choose to show themselves to you

Perhaps it’s what they are meant to do

Alluring, in their ethereal graces

Captivating, with angelic faces

Autumnal beauties, ever glowing

Capture you, with enchantment, flowing

Let us celebrate, my love

There is no better time

Commingle, with one another

This taste of life, sublime

Pour another glass for me

Let us drink to get our fill

Every drop, delicious

Share the nectar, sweeter still

Give me what I need to live

Feel my body, new, refreshed

A single kiss upon your neck

Lets me feed upon your flesh

No Escape

Ghoulish creature in full moon light

Eerily stalking you, in ebony night

No longer hidden, the Hunter’s Moon glows

Lighting the way, with terror, he shows

A hideous face, with a sickle in hand

His quest for you, most carefully planned

Watching and waiting, he stares in the dark

Empty eyes gazing, he’s leaving his mark

Quivering soul, he’s gotten into your head

Wearing you down, no escape from the dead

 

This was a shot I took from my driveway, as the Hunter’s Moon was rising.  The leaves created quite the scene, and I of course, ran with it.  I have another shot, with a totally different scene, which I will share closer to Halloween  🙂

Harrowing screams, footsteps aflight

Shattering darkness, piercing the night

People running, ahead of the pack

Children crying, don’t look back

 

Fleeing from creatures, eyes aglow
Wolf like features, purely foe

 

Fast as you can, get away from this town

Devouring all, they will never back down

They never let go, no, they growl with delight

Eerily howling, under pale moonlight
