Behold the power, I keep in my hands

Many battles won, my magic, grand!

Villagers come, they seek, no doubt

Their wishes granted, but not without

A promise, to me, they must vow to make

Lest they feel the pain, make no mistake

Into toads, they will change, of this I exhort

I’ll add them to my own human wizard warts

The ones I use freely, to cast dastardly spells

I’ll grant no more wishes, they shall be quelled

Take heed, before journeying, through my land

You’ll feel cruelty, not pity, under my command

For this week’s challenge, Colleen has chosen Color and Creepy as the prompts.  But there’s a catch!! #SynonymsOnly!  Rules can be found at the link below!  Have fun!

Soon
Spirits
Will awaken
White, cloaked, alive
Halloween shows life
Eerily, they float near
Unearthly beings scheming
Awaiting the moment when you
Your guard down, allow them to enter
And the blood red of your face disappears

Come take a ride on my broomstick

Meet my precious cat, Mr. Quiver

We’ll turn your head, round and round

Upside down, make your whole body shiver

Throw in some jack-o-lanterns

Light the candles, watch them flame

The goblins in the graveyard

They’re writing numbers, taking names

I will tell my tale this Halloween

About the time I caught your eye

And how you fell for my greatest plan

I’m so sorry that you had to die

Your time has come to a dreadful end

On the gravestone, etched in black

Your name and, yes, the date you left

Safe to say, there’s no turning back

Deep in the forest, among the trees

The wings of a dragon, soar with the breeze

A hint of mint from the gardens below

Cascades through the forest’s verdant show

Its fragrance, sweet as autumn air

Making this dragon seem more aware

Of the beings, who have entered here

And make their way too dangerously near

Far beyond the ridge, there’s a hidden lair

Where you’ll find, he’ll trap you then declare

There’s no escape from your own abduction

And soon, you’ll learn, the dragon’s destruction

For no human has ever left these woods

They’ve disappeared, vanished, gone for good

In a cavern, far below the earth
Darkness could easily be found
Violet stones show their worth
Underneath the frozen ground

Shards, the likes of icy gems
Glisten, when they catch the light
But beauty hides the worst of them
They disappear, nowhere in sight

You cannot see the danger, when
You walk across the tundra
The cavern opens up its jaws, then
It carries you, down under

There’s no escape, from the well below
You’ve reached your eternal slumber
And they’ll go back to their violet glow
But your mind, will be torn asunder
