A
Crystal
Flurries down
Rushing to meet
A man made of white.
Top hat upon his head
Eyes of coal, a carrot nose,
Mittened hands, endless snowball fights
Days of youth, returning within us.
The bustle of the holiday season.
The coming together of family,
Dearest to our hearts, celebrating
A thankfulness, many blessings
Each one, a mere fragment, of
Years gone by, call to mind
All who have gathered
Bringing with them
Tidings of
Great joy,
Love

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!  I am truly blessed to know all of you! ❤

Child
Who is
Reflected
On the water
Bares her soul aloud
In the silence of night
As barren trees listen, watch
Her attention lies far away
Scattered thoughts unleash a roaring din
She wonders if the birds can hear them, too

I
Am one.
A simple
Yet complex root.
With new beginnings,
I plant my feet, and grow.
The mighty earth, under me
Nourishes my very being,
Nurturing my heart, however brief;
Until the moment I breathe my last breath
And I become one with the earth, again
Mixed in the soil, of a thousand years
Below the ground, where I once stood
Strong, and unwavering, though
At times, I would quiver
Much like leaves, in spring
Wishing for life
To return
Within
Me

Pink
A field
Of floral
Beauty, thrives
In the sunlit days
Graceful, on the hillsides
Swaying, in the warm breezes
Ah, ’tis summertime in full bloom
With scented heather, creating spells
Which a man and his Earth find enchanting

He
Plotted
Against her
She, unaware
Was drawn into him
Demonic sources raged
As fires, aglow, flickered
Against the darkness of the night
Death was knocking, she, ignoring him
Would not let the devil lead her astray
