Twilight…

When darkness shadows day

And the skies fall silently to sleep

When the moon

And his stars quietly awaken

With their guiding lights, to keep

The nightmares at bay, the ones

That invade my head,

Keep them far away,

So I can dream

Of happiness instead

Sun lit rays that dance above

Create a shimmering view

Clouds become lakes, reflective of

The beauty enfolded for you

Serenity dances amongst the folds

As day becomes the night

Tranquility lingers, ever bold

And I sigh at this heavenly sight

Visions in the waters, flow

Sunlight bathes the undertow

Settling, in sweet serenity

Channeling its identity

Carrying shadows in the light

Gathering, and holding tight

So not to let them slip away

But glide them though another day
