An open portal, a light shines through
Illuminating the walls, but who

Has opened up, this once locked door
And casts no shadow, upon the floor

No figure leaves its shape or form
Surely, this is not the norm

So I approach the space with care
Afraid, of what I might find there

Footsteps clack, upon the stone
Now I know, for sure, I’m not alone

And yet, there’s no one standing near
I wait, for someone to appear

Hold my breath, try not to blink
What little courage, begins to sink

The light, again, begins to grow
I turn, but there’s no place to go

Only one way out, the door, awaits
It seems, at last, I’ve sealed my fate

The signs, have all been crystal clear here
And now it seems, I’ll disappear here

I had no reason, to enter his tomb
The castle has spoken, my certain doom

Standing tall, upon the rocks

She beckons them to come

Circling yonder castle, there

Blackened wings do thrum

Banished by the reigning Queen

She seeks revenge, upon this land

Calling to her mighty birds

This crusade, so carefully planned

Watching, as they battle strong

With chaos, she’s in cahoots

As finally, the castle, to her calls

And she regains her treasured roots

A castle stands, on a mountain high

Its turrets, reaching for the sky

Towers, decorating its building, where

The strong and valiant, fought despair

Coated in dusted powder, fine

Winter, cloaks a different time

Shrouded, by the clouds, so gray

A mighty warrior, here, did stay

To guard the lands, he knew, profound

Kept hidden, by the arbored ground

But days have passed, its empty now

Quietly standing, remembering how

Its stature, grand, for centuries, still

Shall always remain, atop this hill

They gathered, on this magical night

Beings, made of glowing light

Scattered round the castle keep

Awakening those, once fast asleep

Their deepest desires, to return, the plan

Back to the fortress, where it all began

To once again grace, the place they did roam

Where spirits had played, in deep catacombs

Disenchanted by those, who chased them away

Enamored with others, who dare let them stay

Amidst the fog and full moon light

A house glows red with demonic delight

Terror reigns from deep within

Fills the air with a piercing din

Spirits roam the darkened grounds

Shrilling, shrieking, sounds abound

Horror shakes the shrouded land

That hides this fortress, once so grand

Haunting, against the black of night

Demons feast on earthly fright
