Here we go, when will it stop?
Yet, another dastardly caper

Seems someone has once again
Run off with the tissue paper

Empty rolls now fill the stall
Better check before you sit

Cause you know what comes next
You’ll be cursin’, quite a bit

The only suggestion to give you
Is always carry a roll in your purse

You’ll never be, without necessity
Keeps from making a bad moment worse

Always be prepared, you never know
Do it now, no, don’t you delay!

One guarantee, take it from me
It’ll surely keep the flies away!

Catacomb ~ #darkpoetry

I’m afraid, to close my eyes
Though sleep takes over me
It’s when the dead awaken
And I’m no longer free to be

They’re coming at me, running
Demons find the easiest way
To be spiteful, in their glory
And these thoughts, I can’t allay

They beckon to my very soul
To follow where they roam
And I fall helpless to their plea
A ghastly place, this catacomb

Try though I might, to wrestle away
They keep me close, so I can’t breathe
Red eyes, thumping evil hearts
Shooting fire, as they seethe

Inescapable, in their clutches
I try my best, these thoughts, to quell
Yet I cannot overcome the darkness
I’ve lost the battle, in this living hell

I’m thrilled to announce that the third book in my Haiku series, “Seasons”, will be coming out soon.  I thought I’d share the cover with you now.  You see, I’m very excited about it.  The photo on the front cover (and faded out on the back) was taken by my daughter, Alyssa.  This is not her first cover (“Pieces of Life“) but it’s  certainly another beautiful one.  I hope you love it as much I do!!  ❤

Sour drop dreams, sweetened, like candy

Made Charlotte feel, just a little bit randy

Naughty was she, but oh what a treat!

She’d pucker her lips, though, quite indiscreet

Only the corner store, could satisfy her urge

A delicious stock boy, on which she would splurge

Forget about candy, it really wasn’t her thing

She got what she wanted, from her sweet little fling
