We are not like cars, where colors are optional

Humans come in a variety, our palettes, diverse

We must make it our quest to be kind to another

Learn not how to argue, but rather, to converse

This one can go either direction…   😉

Polly Pink, such a dancer supreme

She was the star of every man’s dream

Especially the night

When her tassels took flight

And landed in Bailey’s Irish Cream

Tea Time Talk – #2 #TeaTimeTalk

Well, here we are again, the week is over, and boy what a week it was. Grab your tea, iced or hot, and let’s talk! Should you like to bring along any snacks, please feel free.  🙂

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: My sweet Alyssa had to give up her dream job due to health issues. She was a pet walker/sitter. Sadly, the winter cold proved too much and she resigned her position. I know she’s heart broken, as am I, for her.

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I adore the sunsets and the moon rise. For me, the day could consist of only those two things, although that would make it only night. Exactly! The sunset, to bid the day adieu (had to get that French in there for hubby), the moon rise to greet the night. And just think, you would be relaxing that whole time because there would be no time in between to do anything except enjoy the stars twinkling above.

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: As much as I love the idea above, there aren’t enough hours in a day. I need, maybe, twenty-four more? I think that would work. If you have some spare time, please pass it my way.

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: the weather in the states has been all over the place. Friday was 60F and Saturday it was almost 40F. And we have snow in the forecast three days this coming week. I am so over winter!!

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I love Pokémon Go. There, I admitted it…step 1.lol Oh yes, and McDonald’s chicken nuggets. Phew, glad I got that over with.

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I got to hang out with a couple of pups, my daughter’s sitting for. A Husky and a Puggle. Adorable and make me want to run right out and get a dog. You’ll remember the husky from last week’s tea, she was editing my book. 😉

As for this week coming up:

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: I have a lot of things to get done and no ambition to do any of them. I need at least four more of me. That should be good.

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: it’s time for me to do the food shopping, and some errands for my Mom. Somewhere in between, I’ll find time to write (I hope).  Have a great week ahead!!   ❤

If we don’t take care, of our planet Earth

We’ll be lost in this place, once paradise

We must remember, everything’s worth

With each decision, we must pay a price

Why? ~ #poetry of sadness

In loving memory of Michael Knight…

How can it look the same, this world that seems to drone?

Why does my heart not explain, why is it I feel, so alone?

One minute you’re there, and the next, you are gone

Life is now harder to bear, how will we… I, go on?

They say you’re in a better place, I am filled with unrest

My heart now has an empty space, heavy, inside my chest

We will meet again, my son, when the world has let me go

Until that time, I remain here, saddened, and missing you so

I wrote this after reading of the death of a child. Our dear blog friend, Derrick Knight, lost his eldest son, Michael. It was sudden, unexpected. May Michael rest in peace and may God watch over Derrick, Jackie and the family.
