Good morning, friends. We’re another week closer to the end of 2019.  I’m looking forward to 2020.  I’ve always had better luck with even numbered years.  I’m hoping 2020 is going to be my year!  Won’t you join me for a cup of tea or coffee, sit a while, and tell me what your hopes and dreams are for next year?  🙂   If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: my week was a hectic one, but I finished what I needed to do, thanks to hubby & Lys helping out.  Most of you know I suffer from anxiety, and it was full bloom these past few weeks.  But I made it through, with only a slight meltdown.  I think I’ll pat myself on the back for that.  All I can say is PHEW!

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I decorated the house, but not like I used to.  No big tree.  Instead I have two smaller, fiber optic ones. My nativity was made by my son’s girlfriend, for my husband, who loves the minions.  I actually keep it out all year because it makes me smile.  I think it will make you smile, too!

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: we got to walk Darty on Friday.  It was a cold, rainy day, and even Darty didn’t seem to like it.  He was much happier in the house.  We’ll be puppy sitting for an adorable puppy, Ellie, on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.  I can’t wait.  We’ve already had her here with us, and she’s a bundle of fluff!

Darty, after his treat 🙂

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: the LuLaRoe launch was fun!  We have another round of it today, at 3PM.  If you’re interested, you can catch us live on Facebook on Monday night at 8PM EST.  The clothing is beautiful, and there are styles for the men, too!! Please join our group page on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/lularoedorindaduclos/ and you can register at https://dorindaduclos.lularoebless.com/CustomerRegistration  You’ll need to do that if you plan to purchase any items.  I hope you’ll give it a look.  I’ll bet you’ll fall in love!  ❤

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: today is a special day at church.  It’s a memorial service for a beautiful woman who passed one year ago.  Gerry was a unique person, with so much love to give.  She was a blessing to all, and especially Alyssa.  She always told her she should be in fashion, and now she is.  So I know Gerry is watching over both of us.  It is also Fellowship Day, so we will be remembering Gerry during service and celebrating her during Fellowship.  I know it will be a very emotional day for her family, and all, who miss her dearly.

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: if you missed it, the post featuring the photos from the Victorian Christmas at Ringwood Manor, can be viewed HERE.  Please enjoy!  It was beautifully decorated and very festive.  🙂

As for the week ahead:

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: after Monday, I will be slowing down a bit.  I need to remember to take care of me, too.  I hope you’ll all remember to take care of yourself, too.  ❤

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: Christmas is a mere 10 days away.  Tell me, did you make Santa’s naughty or nice list?  I think you made the nice list, especially if you’ve indulged me, and read this far!!

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: it’s off to church I go! Gerry, Fellowship & LuLaRoe!  A full day for sure!  Until next time, be well, and have a blessed week, my friends!  ❤

Should this warm your soul, please share.

Good morning, friends. It’s been a busy week, and I’m exhausted, but raring to go! lol   Won’t you join me for a cup of tea or coffee, sit a while and chat?  🙂   If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: we actually got the snowstorm they predicted, though not really much snow.  Lys & I got caught in the worst part of it, visiting and having lunch with my Mom.  We were relieved when we finally made it home.  They were already beginning to close some of the roads because of the storm.  The one main road by my house always becomes so treacherous, it’s usually the first one shut down.  If you didn’t see my poem, “On Daydreams“, this is the picture of what it looked like out Mom’s window before we headed home. If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: now that Thanksgiving has passed, I can actually get some things done.  It’s December, so, Christmas is coming and so is Alyssa’s and my LuLaRoe launch party!  I’ve been busily painting the walls, next I’ll be decking the halls! LOL

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: no pups this week, which was fine because I had quite enough to keep me busy. Although, I admit, I miss them when I don’t walk them. If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: yesterday, we had our church WOW (Women of Worship) Christmas Fellowship luncheon.  There were about 80 of us, and it was wonderful.  Pastor Jan spoke of the “Comfort of Christmas.”  The food was delicious, and this is the beautiful (yummy chocolate) cake we all devoured! If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: we started putting our little boutique together for LuLaRoe.  Hubby’s been a huge help!  Definitely couldn’t have done it without him.  I’ll share pictures after we finish the whole thing!  🙂

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: today, after church, we are going to the Ringwood Manor for a Victorian Christmas. The manor is decorated beautifully for the holiday season.  Can’t wait to take pictures and share them with all of you!   ❤

As for the week ahead: If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: I’ll be running in circles getting ready for next weekend.. Anyone care to decorate the house for me? lol

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: I get to walk Darty on Friday!!  Yay!  He’s such a sweet pup and definitely loves his tummy rubs.

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: it’s off to church I go! Busy day ahead.  Until next time, be well, and have a blessed week, my friends!  ❤

Good morning, friends. Have you gobbled til you wobbled? I can’t believe it’s December first!!  Another year has flown by.  Have you accomplished the things you wanted to do?  I think a nice cup of tea would be perfect right now.  Won’t you join me, sit a while and chat?  🙂

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: with Thanksgiving behind us, all the stores have kicked it into high gear with their Christmas season, totally missing the real meaning of the day.  I did no shopping on Thanksgiving, or Black Friday.  Actually, I usually don’t! lol  I prefer the mom & pop shops over big box, but I did get something from Amazon on Saturday.  See, I waited.  😉

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: we had Shadow this week, and we’ll be walking him tonight, weather permitting.  He’s such a fun pup!  He really brightens up my day, or night, since we walk him at 6PM.  🙂

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: we are bracing for a snowstorm in NJ.  Now, if you live here, you know, most of the time they get it wrong.  When they predict a storm, we get flurries.  When they predict flurries, we get a foot! So we’re all hoping they got it wrong this time.  Although I have to admit, I do like that first snowfall.  Everything looks so pretty.  But not a foot at a time!  Plus, the cold and I don’t get along.  I become a hermit until spring!

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: we had a beautiful church service on Wednesday, with our worship team leading us in song, and giving thanks to those we are grateful for, especially the Lord.  This picture is the altar with the team, although the two ladies, and one man, are missing.  From left to right, John (on guitar), Brad (vocals), John (on drums), Pastor Charlie (on guitar) & Harvey (on keyboards)

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I’ve been keeping busy with getting the house ready for Alyssa’s and my LuLaRoe Launch Party, as well as the holidays.  I’m really loving the color of the walls I’ve painted.  I went with a soft beige, Sandstorm, to be exact.  Matches the rug perfectly!!  I’m hoping to be finished by the end of this week.  So much to do, so little time!

As for the week ahead:

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: tomorrow, I get to walk Darty!  Alyssa will be in PA on another puppy sitting adventure.  Unless the snow is really bad, then we all might be stuck here.

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: our church’s WOW Christmas Fellowship is Saturday.  WOW stands for Women of Worship.  It is a beautiful event, for the ladies only.  This year’s theme is “The Comfort of Christmas.”  I’m really looking forward to it!

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: (weather permitting) it’s off to church I go! I have Avon duty, since Lys is not here.  Wish me luck!  Until next time, be well, and have a blessed week, my friends!  ❤

Good morning, friends. Another busy week comes to a close. I’m ready for a nice hot cup of tea!  Won’t you join me, sit a while and chat?  🙂

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: as I told you last week, Alyssa and I are now Independent Fashion Retailers with LuLaRoe.  We got our first order yesterday, and Oh My!  It was like a big Christmas surprise!  And we have another order coming this Friday, with even more goodies!  I can’t wait to get started.  ❤

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I had no puppy duty this week.  😦 I’m really enjoying the time I get to spend with these fluffies.  We get to walk Shadow on Tuesday night, so I’m looking forward to that.  Hopefully, the weather will behave.  It’s cold and rainy, and I want warmth and sunshine!

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: Saturday was my mom’s birthday.  She’s 86!!  We brought her her favorite McDonald’s lunch, Artisan Chicken, and don’t forget the french fries and apple pies! We surprised her.  She thought it was only my hubby and me, until she turned the corner and Alyssa and Jonathan were there.  She was so excited! We stayed for a bit, then had some errands to run. We headed back to her and she treated us to dinner, so we celebrated all day!  They brought her a nice cake and sang Happy Birthday.  Fun! Here’s a pic of her with Alyssa.

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I had a little set back with my health, but I’m learning to overcome the obstacles in front of me, and leave them behind.  My body pretty much tells me when it’s time to shut down, and rest.  Of course, I have a million things to do and a million thoughts going through my head, so I never listen….until I have to.  Why is it we push and push until we can’t?  I’m stubborn.  How about you?

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: this week coming up is Thanksgiving in the USA, where humans stuff their faces with turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry everything and pumpkin pie.  After the food coma is over, Thanksgiving is followed by Black Friday (which actually begins on Turkey Day), when human beings become bulldozers, to get to what they don’t really need. I stopped shopping in the stores a long time ago.  I prefer online.  Less hassle, less crowded and best of all, it comes right to my door.  How do you shop for the holidays?

As for the week ahead:

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: I’ll be diligently painting my living room and dining room.   I am notorious for redecorating the house days before a holiday!  My husband cringes when I say I think the walls need a new color! LOL  One year found me stripping wallpaper and painting, a mere two days before Christmas.  What can I say?  I love a challenge!!

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: it’s hard to believe this week is the end of November. The year has flown by so swiftly.  I’m hoping December is a smooth one (aka no snow) and 2020 is the beginning of better tomorrows.

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: it’s off to church I go! Once again, Alyssa will be selling her Avon, and giving a portion of the proceeds to the church!  I’m so proud of her!  Until next time, be well, and have a blessed week, my friends!  ❤

Should this warm your soul, please share.

Good morning, friends. What a whirlwind week!  The weather has been a bit crazy, and now it’s just down-right cold!  I’m not ready for this, and my body says “go some place warmer!”  How’s the weather by you? I’m ready for a nice hot cup of tea!  Let’s chat.  🙂

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: there’s so much going on in my little corner of the world.  If you’re on Facebook, you may have seen the announcement my daughter, Alyssa and I made on Thursday.  If not, here it is!!

We’ll be sure to let you know when everything is up and ready to roll!  If you’ve never heard of LuLaRoe, you’re missing out!  The clothing is so comfortable!! Our dear friend, Gerry, who is no longer with us, always told Alyssa she should be in the fashion industry.  We do this in honor of her.

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: hubby and I spent Monday afternoon at a park in Garfield, NJ, called Dahnerts Lake Park.  Our friend John Kooch was doing his park ministry there, and the day was beautiful! I was able to talk to Kooch about things going on in my life and he gave me wise advice on how to handle some stressful situations.  The Lord has been very good to me, and I hope I have served him well in this long and difficult journey.

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: our walking duties with Shadow and Darty have ended for now, BUT… we had this little cutie for an overnight stay!  Meet Ellie!  She is an Aussiedoodle.  She is the cutest little pup ever! I was very sad to see her go home on Friday.  😦

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: you may have noticed (or not lol) that I changed the header on my blog.  The composite was put together by my dear friend, and fellow blogger, John Freda (The Magic Shop) John writes delightful stories and poetry.  Do check his blog!  🙂

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: we didn’t take our usual ride to Sunnybank on Saturday. It was Pokemon Go’s Community Day, yes I’m a nerd, so we did that instead.  Had lunch at my favorite pizza place, too!  It was a fun day.  🙂

As for the week ahead:

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: I will be crazy busy with the new business, and writing, and, and, and…you get the idea.

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: Saturday is my mom’s birthday, so I will be visiting with her, to celebrate.  Maybe we’ll surprise her with her favorite McDonald’s lunch.  😉

If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: it’s off to church I go! Alyssa will be selling her Avon, giving a portion of the proceeds to the church!  I’m so proud of her!  Until next time, be well, and have a blessed week, my friends!  ❤
