Good morning, friends. Today is the last Sunday of Advent. We light the candle of Peace. Wouldn’t that be wonderful..a peaceful planet. Won’t you join me for a cup of tea or coffee, sit a while, and chat? 🙂
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: it’s officially Winter. It arrived at 11:19PM EST Saturday night. Based on the weather, I think Old Man Winter was a bit confused and didn’t realize it was still autumn when he dumped snow on us! I’m hoping for a mild winter. Do you get snow where you live?
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I am still running about like a chicken without a head. I would imagine that to be quite an amusing look. LOL Speaking of amusing, we visited with Mom this week and I got to being a bit silly. This is Santa Me and that’s the top of Mom’s head at the bottom of the picture!
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: Alyssa and I did our first ever Facebook Live for our LuLaRoe business. We got such great feedback from everyone, and we had a blast doing it. So much so, we’re doing it again tonight! Oh, did I mention we got new inventory? Christmas everyday! Fun times ahead.
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I journeyed out with Alyssa to walk little Ellie. She is such a sweetheart! Lys is really blessed with the pups she has charge of. They’re all great dogs. Here’s Ellie. How cute is that face!
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I am almost done with my Christmas shopping. I tried to do it all in one day but that didn’t work out, so today, hopefully, I’ll be able to finish it up!
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: on Saturday, we went to see Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker. Great movie! If you’re hesitating to go see it, don’t! Besides, you get to munch on popcorn, candy and slurp a soda. A great package all wrapped up in spending time with my family. We’re all so busy these days, we rarely spend quality time together. Saturday was a real treat.
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I love driving around my neighborhood, looking at all the beautiful decorations for the holidays. It’s a shame we can’t keep them up all year, (can you imagine the electric bills? lol), but I guess that’s why they’re so special. They’re only here for a short time.
As for the week ahead:
If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: Christmas is coming!!! Only three sleeps away! May your day be merry and bright! Hanukkah begins tomorrow. Kwanzaa on the 26th. Let us all celebrate together. Merry Chrismahanukwanzakah!!
If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: it’s off to church I go! Until next time, Happy Holidays, be well, and have a blessed week, my friends! ❤
Since I am having my cup of tea, it is so nice to stop to chat with you. The Advent season has been so busy for me, and now I am preparing my message for Christmas Eve Service. God continues to use me as a Chaplain and I am bless to spend time with each person. I am on break from my class until after New Year Day which I have enjoy the extra time in preparing for this season of Hope. I would love to continue to chat with you however I know what I need to complete. Until our next time, Merry Christmas to you and your family

A delightful post, Dorinda. I did pop into your FB page but I missed your Live show. I am glad it is going well for you both. My Christmas shopping took about three half days and I took my mom with me. She can’t walk around for too long so we shopped for a few hours and then had coffee. Lovely times together. We don’t get any snow here. Only twice in my life have I seen snow in Johannesburg.

I hope you enjoyed a beautiful Christmas, Robbie. I love the cake you made with the snowman on top. You are so talented!! We didn’t have a white Christmas. In fact it was 50 degrees F today! That’s more like spring weather!!

How interesting that your weather is so warm, Dorinda. I am glad you like the snowman cake. He makes an appearance in Michael and my forthcoming Sir Chocolate book.

We are now experiencing a cold snap. It’s rainy and just plain dismal. Counting the days until Spring! 🙂 Let me know when your new book is released!

Thanks Dorinda. It will be a while for new supernatural historical novel. I am still writing it but have finalised the plot in my head at least.

That’s excellent, Robbie. I’m stuck on mine, Suddenly my characters are going left, instead of right. I’ll figure it out eventually. lol

Mine have been doing funny things too, Dorinda, and my two modern characters have really gone off on their own tangent.
