Good morning, friends. Can you believe it’s the last Sunday of 2019? This year has certainly flown by quickly. Perhaps 2020 will be the year we all slow down and take time to appreciate all we have. Won’t you join me for a cup of tea or coffee, sit a while, and chat? 🙂
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I’ll be taking some time off from blogging. Life has thrown another curve ball and I need to practice my catching skills. I will still be posting, albeit, sporadically, until things settle down. I hope you’ll still come by to visit, read some older posts, and enjoy the new ones, when they happen to pop up. I must also apologize for not visiting some of the blogs I follow. I’m just a bit overwhelmed right now, and need to re-evaluate my future. I know you understand.
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: Christmas Day was quiet, with just Lys, Neil & my Mom for dinner. The holidays aren’t what they used to be for me. I must sound like Scrooge, but with my health issues, things have become tougher to deal with. So instead of everyone at my house, like it used to be, I stick with immediate family only. Maybe, one day it will change. For now, it works for me.
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: it’s a short one this week. I hope you’ve had a wonderful holiday season, whichever one you’ve celebrated, and that 2020 is the year you hope it to be.
As for the week ahead:
If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: I’m wishing you a very Happy New Year!! Here’s to 2020!!
If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: it’s off to church I go! See ya next year, be well, and have a blessed week, my friends! ❤

Since I am sipping on my tea I am so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well, and resting is always a good thing for all of us. I would also tell you that Christmas Eve and Christmas Day was beautiful and wonderful for me. I had put candles from the end of the road leading up to our sanctuary on Christmas Eve, and this was the first Christmas Eve that I had lead the worship all together. The Pastor of the church had another mini-stroke so she needs to continue to take care of herself she still have a lot of health issues and surgeries that she needs, at this time I am not sure how much longer that I need to lead her congregation but I have learn to put it all in God’s hands. We had no one to play the organ or piano that night I use my cell phone to lead us in the hymn singing and I also sang O Holy Night. As 2019 draws to a close I have look back on this year and see how God has used me in so many ways by being a Pastor as well as a Chaplain, it amazing me what an Awesome God we do serve, and how he has given me His Grace and Strength to do all what I need to do. I will pray that your health issues will improve during the New Year. In the meantime enjoy some quite time when you can and Happy New Year

I’m sorry to hear the pastor is not well, but she need not worry. She has God, and now you, to guide the congregation. I pray her health improves with each new day.
Thank you for your prayers. You are in mine, too. Happy New Year, dear friend. ❤

I’m slowing down too, so we’re in this together. Take care friend. A New Year that starts with self-care is a good sign.
