Blissful repose

Scented by fragrant lilacs

So soothing a balm

This Cinquain is inspired by a photo prompt from Susi at I Write Her.  I also wrote a Haiku for it, for Susi’s challenge, but actually wrote this piece first before it dawned on me that I wasn’t writing a Haiku, (which is Susi’s challenge!) LOL  A big thank you to Susi for the double inspiration!!  ❤

A wave

Taking over

Churning with the ocean

Swallowing the sunlit landscape

Imbibes

At the sound of night

Reveling in twinkling stars

I throw moon a kiss

Across the gardens of life

All that kneading had come to an end

With other ladies, she did contend

Prayed her buns were just right

Weren’t rolled up too tight

Gave a sigh, seems she had the right blend
