I may fade away, like empty tears

I may cry, until they disappear

Like seagulls, as they fly away

Into the set of another day

The beauty, which has passed me by

As I continue, breathe, then sigh

Knowing that my time is borrowed

I pray each day for a new tomorrow

To wipe away these mortal fears

And restore my visions, ever clear

Faces paint the midnight aura
Colors light the evening sky
Watching over land and sea
Satellites go zipping by

Galaxies become as one
Constellations come to life
Visions watching over us
Beguiling, mesmerizing, rife

The universe above, as one
Beneath, the Earth divisible
Lessons learned become undone
As the skies become invisible

Friday Fantasy ~ A Single Flower

Along this path I long to stay

Remembering our yesterday

A single flower graces stone

To let me know I’m not alone

Red, for love once so true

Memories, of me and you

Through these petals, I will cherish

A love like ours, will never perish

Eternity lies

Beyond humanity’s gate

Chained to a life spent

Black and white, to shades of gray

Colors slip beyond the day

Shadows cover evergreen

No longer does the sunlight gleam

Darkened clouds obscure the light

Stark and barren in the night

Lands, once beautiful, it seems

Lost, within a monochrome scene
