Ah, to sink into a sea of chardonnay
Allow it to drown my sorrows away
No need for a glass, nor a bottle or two
I’ll just throw myself in, and relax for a few
Take in the aroma, of apples and oak
Forget about time, as I’m in for a soak
This is my fantasy, a dream quite divine
Just me and oceans of chardonnay wine

Alyssa’s celebrates her 28th birthday today. These are a few of my favorite pictures of her.
Here’s to you, Alyssa! You have grown into an amazing young woman and I am so blessed that God chose me to be your Mom!! I love you, Sunshine! ❤

Leaves my tongue hanging out
Just let me bury
My cute little snout
In a bowl of cold water
Please fill it up
Then get out of my way
Cause I’m a thirsty pup!

A whirlwind of unknowns
Each morning, I face them
A mirror image of who I am
But where do I need to be?
I overlook the important
To dwell in the mundane
Endlessly searching for me
Wondering where I went
Yet, never finding myself
It’s a brutal pattern
A continuous thread
Unraveling, dangling
With no scissors in sight
To cut away the fray
Until it is too late
Everything I have done
Denigrated, criticized
Until the attacks cease
Forever brought to an end
Authors Note: Just letting you know I am fine. My poetry, lately, has been reflective of those who are not fine. I am merely a voice for those who cannot speak…
