I let my arms fly open, feel the rain wash over me

My eyes, watching, as shadows cross the night sky

And once again, I find myself embracing the storm

She is beautiful

In a wicked way

She makes the children smile

As they romp playfully about

She smirks as the rest

Struggle to find warmth

And nature trembles

As she snickers under her cold breath

No mercy in her icy grin

No comfort from the storm

Listen to the Rain

The sky tells its story

It speaks of light in the dark

Though storm clouds chase the day away

The heavens leave their mark

Reminding me, this too, shall pass

The light will return again

This is the hope I cling to

While I listen to the rain
