I apologize if this offends anyone. I was “punch drunk” from a very serious lack of sleep, and this is what happens when the Sandman doesn’t visit 🙂

Please read this to the tune of “Jingle Bells”

Falling in the snow
One winter, cold and gray
Over drifts we go
Cursing all the way

No bells will toll for us
Noise is not our thing
Let us be, or you shall see
What happens when you sing

Ooooh, what the hell?!, we all fell
Out of Santa’s sleigh
We don’t know where we should go
This Christmas holiday

Oooooh, here we go, to and fro
We think this is the way
Through the woods, up to no good
This Christ-mas hol-i-daaaaaayyyy!!

Ho Ho!

Sparkling white, like a shining star

Glistening softly, from where they are

The glory of Christmas begins to unveil

With beautiful lights, aglow, what a tale!

Of a jolly old man, who stopped by to visit

And brought with him, Oh! I wonder, who is it?

Why it’s his little elves, who wrapped up in bows

Toys for the kiddies, and everyone knows

When magic appears over skies, high above

It’s Santa and his reindeer, leaving packages of love

My Note: Had a few moments while sitting at the hospital, tried to think of happy things.  This is what I came up with   🙂

Friday Fantasy ~ The Dragon Gift

Do you think they’ll notice?
Do you think they’ll see?
The one that hides inside
The stocking near the tree

He traveled down the chimney
Santa dropped him in the chute
Then he jumped into the silken sock
Looking magical, to boot

Hanging from the mantle
Adorned with holly leaves
Trying not to make a sound
Hoping they’ll believe

He keeps a silent vigil
Careful not to shakes the bells
He dare not wake the slumber
Of the family that dwells

So he’ll wait until the morning
In hopes they’ll keep him for awhile
For he is a Christmas Dragon
With a mischievous little smile

Dedicated to all the wonderful men who grace the malls and schools, and businesses, who give of their time to bring joy to the children, and smiles to the adults…I say Thank you 🙂

Twas the night before Christmas
The place was in tatters
Ribbons and wrappings
And empty cookie platters

With no time to waste
I had to move fast
The children were waiting
With lists in their grasps

I threw on my long johns
And fastened the flap
I hope I can get out of these things
In a snap!

With my belly all stuffed
And my white fluffy beard
Donned my red woolen coat
Wrapped in holiday cheer

Little eyes glowing, pure and simple, with glee
When they came and they sat upon my bended knee
The excitement I saw, was worthy of bliss
When they jumped off my lap, and blew me a kiss

Oh! What joy it brings to my heart
Making sure all was merry and bright
With my sack fully packed
And the sleigh on its way
Merry Christmas to all
And to all a good night!

And children waiting, for Ole Kris Kringle

We gather around the Christmas tree

And share our love, with friends and family
