Do I dare to dream, in morning light?

Or toss these thoughts aside?

Promises cast upon the sea

Swept away, with the evening tide

I walk along these rocky shores

In hopes that I may find

A trace of you, a subtle hint

Or something left behind

I stand here, chasing shadows

Found in the water’s swell

They circle close, around my soul

Then wish a fond farewell

Was it you I caught a glimpse of?

Can you see me waiting here?

Yes, I will stand upon this ocean

Til you let me know you’re near

Take my hand and walk with me

Along these empty tracks

The sunrise, leading us ahead

Our thoughts, never looking back

We shall forever stand together

Never again will we let go

This is the time, for us, alone

As two hearts beautifully grow

We’ll follow the path that stretches out

And guides us on our way

Hand in hand, we are as one

For our love is here to stay

For a moment, indulge me, savor the words

The ones that make me shiver

In pure rapture, simple yet complex

Lines, feelings, raw emotions

Obscured to others, overt to my heart

Secrets revealed, with the stroke of a pen, the brush of a hand

Touching my very being, awakening me

Inscribed, forever, for you, my love

Written, with the pulse of my soul

Together, we’re one, the ebb and flow

In candlelight, two bodies glow

With staggered breaths, your every whim

Reaches, to my core, within

The cravings, of the heart and soul

Feelings, now beyond control

Ride the waves, of passion’s fire

Let this be our one desire

In each other’s arms, content and sated

Our love will never be abated

He said he could see through me

Oh, how my heart does beat,

My breath, staccato, as he draws near

His touch is like fire, a scorching heat

Closing in on one another

His lips pressing against my own

Passion, sparking between us

As our bodies start to moan

Beads of sweat, like morning dew

Exude from mingling pores

Never sated, a devouring hunger

All that we needed was more
