Beautiful visions, in my head, of a tropical island escape

Floating away, on a cloud, wherever my dreams do take me

Warm seas, delicious foods and a gorgeous landscape

I’ll leave behind sorrow, misery, indeed, I must forsake thee

A lovely collection of stories, ideas and sentiments. Pieces range from as few lines to a few pages, each a blossoming element within a vivid garden worth closer inspection. ‘He watched me drown ‘ was a favourite but there are loads of different ideas to enjoy and many feelings like they could blossom into even prettier things.

High above, in the tallest building

They plotted their evil victories

Who next, would be theirs to claim?

By the gods and goddesses of history

Greed and lust, ambition and death

Each one of them, human proprieties

Playing, with the minds of the weak

Toying, with their human dubieties

No care did they show for any being

They, were the grandest of them all

Crazed in their power, never seeing

How quickly their rise was sure to fall

As I grow older, I find silence is my best friend

It’s quiet, like the flowers I pick, along my walk

It’s a joy I find rewarding, a spark, a godsend

My peace of mind, when I do not wish to talk
