Brought about by blackened night

Shadows lurk beyond the light

Causing you to doubt your mind

In your dreams, you seek to find

The open door that’s let them in

The portal where it all begins

Spirits haunting as you sleep

More appear in slumber deep

Wandering about the room

Moaning, in a somber gloom

Yet no one hears them cry but you

You have to wonder what is true

Do these spirits fly among the beings?

Or is this just madness that you’re seeing?

Frosted Shadows

Frosted windows hide the light

Of shadows moving in the night

You glance to see a face so near

Blink and watch it disappear

This entity is peeking through

Looking, seeking, only you

Making its way o’er the threshold

A spirit lost in winter’s cold

Secluded by the tired night

Weary eyes no longer bright

She journeys to her quiet place

Where she can find His living grace

And He will guide her on her way

Through darkness into light of day

When night gives way to morning sun

And again before the day is done

I thank the good Lord up above

For blessing me with endless love
