Electrifying, a single touch

She reaches in the night

Unafraid to feel the burn

Stretching toward the light

Naked in the city street

She is standing in the storm

Of sparks beginning to gather

Like bees about to swarm

She feels the power flowing

Ever closer, ever bright

One quick touch is all it takes

To free her from her plight

When darkness shadows day

And the skies fall silently to sleep

When the moon

And his stars quietly awaken

With their guiding lights, to keep

The nightmares at bay, the ones

That invade my head,

Keep them far away,

So I can dream

Of happiness instead

It swirls in mysterious clouded skies

In the ebony night, high above, where it flies

Among the heavens, coated with mist

Eerily seeking its unearthly bliss

Illuminating, the blackened space

Where mystical beings remain, untraced

Floating in cosmos, waxing and waning

Till fully encompassing all it’s containing

Mesmerizing our Earthly sights

Keeping watch with its ever ethereal light

I see the heaven’s darken

Hear the mighty thunder call

Beckoning me to come outside

To feel the waters fall

I watch as the sky is parted

Chasing away the blackened night

In the quiet hours before the light

In the mystic call of the seas

My soul forever finds its place

Drifting among the breeze

Cool against my body

Blowing gently through my hair

Wisps of scented moonbeams

Serenade me with the air

Surrounding me in its subtle winds

That sing in lullaby song

Luring me to slumber deep

With the night, where I belong
