Who was standing near his spell?
He left the candle burning
And as far as we can tell
*
He took the things he needed
Kept neatly on the shelf
Turned the page, and chanted
Then disappeared, himself
*
No one knows what happened
Or what he actually did say
They only know the wizard
Never returned, that fateful day

Flora adorns her earthly dress
As she takes her final bow
A being, who’s one with the universe
She is the here, the then, the now
But, no longer do her fancy feet
Touch the ground beneath her toes
She’s been lifted into the heavens
Where all of God’s flowers grow
A sunflower remains behind
In the garden, now taking her place
Dancing freely, along with the wind
Its petals, her only trace

In the amber colored liquid
Do you see me?
You poured me, into your glass
Smelled the whiskey of my breath
Tasted the burning of my heart
Swallowed the essence, of my soul
Left me to linger, age,
Days, nights,
Finally forgotten,
Ice melted, glass cracked,
And me, ever slowly
Seeped, into the emptiness
Drowned in your sorrows
